CUES Next Top Credit Union Exec in partnership with DDJ Myers

Award Overview

The Next Top Credit Union Exec challenge awards one emerging CU professional with a grand prize that includes a $20,000 educational package. CUES partners with Currency to manage this dynamic competition, and sponsor DDJ Myers provides coaching sessions to finalists.

Who is Eligible?

Any credit union employee 35 or under who is not yet a CEO. There are no geographic restrictions.

What's Happening in 2018?

  • Nominations are open May 1 - 11
  • Applications are accepted May 14 - June 19
  • Online voting for the Top 10 is June 21 - July 5
  • Top 10 announced on or about July 12
  • Final Five announced August 22
  • Finalists present November 6
  • Ultimate winner named November 7

When will the 2018 Award be Presented?

Finalists present at CUES' CEO/Executive Team Network in Nashville, TN, on November 6, and the Ultimate Winner is announced November 7.

What Does the Winner Receive?

First, a group of Top 10 are selected from among the applicants. The Top 10 will receive a remote coaching session with Peter Myers or Susan Geear from DDJ Myers.

Five finalists are selected next; they receive a CUES reward package valued at approximately $6,000 including:

  • Economy airfare, accommodations and registration to attend CUES' CEO/Executive Team Network
  • Two remote coaching sessions with Peter Myers or Susan Geear from DDJ Myers
  • A great achievement to include on their resumes

Of the five finalists, one will be named the CUES Next Top Credit Union Exec and receive:

  • An additional $20,000 educational package, including registration, accommodation and economy airfare to any two CUES’ CEO Institutes
  • Two remote coaching sessions with Peter Myers or Susan Geear from DDJ Myers
  • The opportunity to continue to publish the progress of their project with monthly updates on the CUES Next Top Credit Union Exec blog for the next five months
