Two exciting pieces of news to share today about CUES' blogging endeavors. First off, check out our retooled marketing blog, Nexus Connection.
As Lisa Hochgraf, one of the blog's two main contributors explains, "It's dedicated to talking about credit union marketing, especially in this new world of Web 2.0 and social media." The blog will be home to the many short items and inspirations Lisa encounters in her work on CUES' Credit Union Management magazine's marketing and operations sections and the weekly CUES Tech Port News to Go e-newsletter.
Collaborating with Lisa is Christopher Stevenson, CUES' professional development manager, who will bring far-reaching perspectives on marketing, technology, and innovation from his day job in programming CUES conferences and meetings, as well as his participation in Filene's i3 group. You'll see what I mean when you read his first post: "Peer-to-Peer Lending: Here to Stay"
Of course, what makes any blog successful is not the posts themselves--though it's certainly crucial that they be thought-provoking--but the discussion they generate. Which leads me to my second piece of news: Last week CUES Skybox hit the 100-comment milestone.
While we thought about awarding a prize to Robbie Wright for putting us over the top, we decided instead (sorry, Robbie, and I hear you could use an iPod...) to publicly thank all who participate in this blog for your contributions over the past 34 months (to the day!) since CUES Skybox entered the blogosphere. Back in 2004, comments were far and few between. If the support we've gotten already for Nexus Connection is any indication, its 100-comment milestone should come much faster.
