As a magazine and e-newsletter editor, I often find myself coaching company representatives who are writing for CUES publications: "Look like an expert. Don't just say how great your product or service is, show what you know. That will give you credibility with readers when they're shopping the marketplace."
Anne Colucci, VP/chief financial officer at $550 million Quorum Federal Credit Union, Purchase, N.Y., did a great job demonstrating her expertise in finance (and in parenting) in a recent Q&P (Questions & Parents) post on the "Parent's Place" blog. The headline tells all: "Questions for a Savings Guru Mom."
Because Colucci (pictured at right) is presented as a "guru" and then shows she indeed knows her stuff, Qurom FCU, by association, gains credibility. And, for a direct PR perk, check out the prominent link to Quorum FCU in the second paragraph.
Way to go!
