You Can't Win if You Don't Enter ... the CUES GMA

Every year, I enter Credit Union Management magazine in the APEX Awards for Publishing Excellence. It is both fun and challenging to look back at the previous year's issues and decide which one to enter. I find myself rereading certain articles and remembering how much I liked a piece of art. Or sometimes how difficult it was to find just the right piece of art! I can only enter one issue so narrowing them down can be tricky.

Last year we entered--and won! We received an award of merit in the Best Redesign category, which was great validation for the hard work we'd done the previous year completely revamping the magazine. The redesign was done completely in house and really shows off the talent of the CUES design staff. It was gratifying to receive professional accolades for our hard-working team.

Credit union marketers can experience that same feeling when they enter the CUES Golden Mirror Awards, with 27 categories ranging from annual reports to websites. But hurry, the early bird deadline (save $30 per entry!) is May 13 and the final deadline is May 27.

As Credit Union Management’s marketing section editor, I look forward to viewing the clever slogans, attractive art and design work and, of course, the results that show how marketers’ hard work and creativity brought success to their credit unions.
