It was my great pleasure to visit the CUES Heartland Council (serving Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Arkansas) in April, and present one of the nine 2012 CUES Outstanding Council awards to the officers.
CUES Councils are run by members on a volunteer basis and serve CUES members regionally, offering networking and career-enhancing resources to credit union leaders.
Judges selected Heartland and the other winning councils for their ability to present timely and important topics to attendees, communicate effectively with their members and produce actionable marketing pieces to generate high meeting participation. Councils also encourage non-members to join CUES.
Each CUES Outstanding Council winner receives $500 to develop future meetings.
