When George Hofheimer headed professional development for CUES (he's now at Filene), he once quipped that a benefit of CUES' institute programs was the opportunity to attend world-class universities that would never have accepted him as an undergrad--places like Wharton, Cornell, and the University of Virginia (home to the three years of CUES' CEO Institute), and the granddaddy of them all, the Harvard Business School, host to Advanced Leadership Institute.
While it never entered my mind to apply to Harvard as an undergrad (in fact, it doesn't even have an undergraduate business program), I have been volunteering to attend Advanced Leadership Institute since the program's inception three years ago (see a first-person account of the inaugural program by someone who did go: CUES CEO Fred Johnson).
And now, as you can tell from my headline, here I am! In fact, I have been here since Sunday, but am just this morning writing my first post as I run off to class. The program and its case study teaching method is everything I expected--and more! Stay tuned--actual content is coming!
