Leading Change by John P. Kotter Change is inevitable for survival (think “Darwin”), but change can often be difficult, painful and slow. This is often due to the interconnectedness of things. (When you change one thing in a system, it impacts others things). Thus, change usually means changing everything (that’s why everyone needs to be involved), and it’s more than likely that you will never get complete or perfect change. Tom Flick, leadership and change expert for Kotter International, the company John Kotter founded to arm leaders to tackle the challenges of change in today’s world, will provide the opening keynote at CEO/Executive Team Network, slated for Nov. 2-5 in Amelia Island, Fla.

However, dramatic changes in customer behavior and expectations--shaped by their experiences with Internet, social media and mobile technologies--are inevitable. Brett King, bestselling author and CEO of Moven, will open Directors Conference, Dec. 7-10 in Palm Desert, Calif.
