At our last meeting for the Friends of the Mendon Public library (somehow I got myself elected president of the board), our treasurer let us know that the bank we use for our accounts had printed a small notice on our last statement that it would now be charging a fee for deposits and withdrawals.

You Don’t Want Dessert With That, Do You?

Recently my husband and I were out to dinner. At the end of our meal the server came over and asked, "You didn't want dessert, did you?" My husband and I just looked at each other. Was he really asking us a question? Or was he saying, "Hey, buddy, your wife definitely doesn't need dessert!" I prefer to believe he was asking us a question. Either way we did not want dessert.

I Don't Want Constant Contact

Do you have any desire to have constant contact with a vendor who sends you SPAM-ish e-mail advertisements?  No, me neither, but recently I received an e-mail advertisement for a service that I can't recall. What I can recall, however, is that at the bottom of the e-mail was a logo for Constant Contact.
